| 04/28/2010 - 05:34 by kent Below is a brief listing of the new features of version 1.2. One new search for text data has been added: Syllable Count Search. In the following word list searches (Grapheme Search, Buildable Words Search, Advanced Grapheme Search and General Search), you have the option to display the search results in a browse view. This view will display the search results in columns and rows for easy reading. The drawback is that search results cannot be saved as an RTF file. In the Buildable Words Search, you can highlight more than one grapheme (for example, when 2 or 3 graphemes are taught in the same lesson, like py, fy and sy). You can also use the item selection dialog box for selecting graphemes from an available list. Support for vowel diphthong and voiceless vowels were added. Support for long consonants were added. Support for multiple parts of speech files can be maintained. Still only one parts of speech code table can be active at a given moment. The Vowel report and the Consonant report have been enhanced. The concept of a project has been added to the program. A project consists of a name, normally the name of the language, and its corresponding options file. Now you can easily switch between two projects on the same computer, so you can use the same computer for developing two different primers. A new tab called Import was added to the Options dialog box. The new tab allows you to specify the environment for importing a word list and a text data. You can specify the maximal number of characters for a grapheme. You indicate which characters should be ignored when importing. You can also replace characters with other characters when importing. This is a way to change decomposed Unicode characters to composed Unicode characters. The CV tab of the Options dialog box has added a symbol for vowel diphthongs. In the File Locations tab of the Options dialog box, you can specify the Parts of Speech file you want to use for the current project. Some performance enhancements have been added. | ||
